On December 10, 2022, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) in Mumbai handled 1,50,988 passengers, breaking the previous record. The total number of travellers listed above consisted of 1,11,441 domestic passengers and 39,547 international passengers, in addition to 892 ATMs. On December 10, 2022, CSMIA set its own record for the largest single-day performance of the year by serving 150988 people, breaking the previous record.

“Compared to the years 2021–2022, the Mumbai airport has seen a 140% increase in international passenger movements and a 26% increase in domestic passenger movements, for a total growth of 44%,” it continued.
