Vistara Will Fly The Airbus A321LR Between Mumbai & Mauritius
On March 26, full-service airline Vistara announced the beginning of its flight operations from the city to Mauritius. The long-range A321 aircraft, which the airline recently added to its fleet, will accommodate the five times weekly flight services in a three-class configuration (business, premium economy, and economy), according to Vistara.
The airline Vistara connects Mumbai with Mauritius as its 12th international destination. The airline has already stated that it will start offering flights from Mumbai to Colombo and Dammam in the next month.

“Vistara announces the inclusion of Mauritius in its ever-expanding international network. In addition to being a well-liked vacation spot, Mauritius serves as a significant business center and is the location of numerous international financial institutions.
Vinod Kannan, CEO of Vistara, stated that the new route will help the expanding traffic between the two nations. Air India, which was purchased by the Tata Group in January of last year and is currently being merged with the Vistara airline operated by Tata-Singapore Airlines.

Recently on 6 February, The company said that the Airbus A321LR aircraft has a total of 188 seats in Vistara’s three-class cabin configuration – 12 lie-flat seats in Business Class, 24 seats in Premium Economy, and 152 in Economy Class. All seats are equipped with 4-way adjustable headrests, in-seat power/USB charging ports, a state-of-the-art In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system featuring a multimedia library with up to 700 hours of content, and onboard Wi-Fi to accentuate the overall in-flight experience for the passengers.

PIA Reinstates Manchester and Paris Routes After EU Ban Lift
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced plans to resume flights to Europe starting in January, beginning with Paris as its first destination.
The decision follows the European Union Aviation Safety Agency’s (EASA) removal of a long-standing ban on the airline. PIA’s inaugural flight to Paris is scheduled for January 10, with bookings opening on December 9.
DOT Proposes New Passenger Compensation Rules for Flight Disruptions
In an official statement, PIA spokesperson Abdullah Hafeez Khan confirmed that the first flight schedule has been approved, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s recovery efforts. The EU ban had previously cost PIA approximately Rs40 billion ($144 million) annually in lost revenue, compounding its financial struggles.
With European operations restarting, PIA is now setting its sights on the United Kingdom. The airline plans to seek approval from the UK Department for Transport (DfT) to resume flights to major British cities such as London, Manchester, and Birmingham.

These routes are anticipated to see high demand once necessary clearances are obtained. The lifting of the EU ban represents a key achievement for PIA as it works to rebuild its international network and regain its standing in the global aviation market.
