The world’s largest manufacturer of aeroplanes, Airbus, announced on Sunday that it will deliver at least one aircraft per week to the Indian market for the next ten years, demonstrating the sector’s potential for expansion and its significance on the global aviation scene.

In Vadodara, Gujarat, he said on the sidelines of the ceremony to lay the cornerstone for the C-295 transport aircraft manufacturing facility, “The C-295 aircraft is a direct result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inspirational “Make in India” policy, which inspired my company, Airbus, to completely reimagine how we conduct business in India. Over the next ten years, we will deliver to India more than 1 aircraft a week on average.”

India and Airbus have a long-standing partnership built on mutually beneficial growth. The company’s technology and know-how have supported India’s armed forces’ modernization and helped the country’s civil aviation sector grow for more than 50 years.

In order to produce the C-295 military transporter to replace the Indian Air Force’s fleet of Avro aircraft, Airbus is offering to establish a final assembly line in India in collaboration with Tata.

To satisfy the Indian Air Force’s long-term strategic needs, Airbus will provide the multiplier-proven A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) aircraft.

Boeing, Antonov to Collaborate on Defense Projects

– MOU represents Boeing’s commitment to work with Ukrainian industry

– Includes exploring opportunities for collaborating on in-country support of Unmanned Aerial Systems

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed today by Boeing and Antonov Company to investigate potential collaboration on defense-related projects.

“We’re happy to keep collaborating with the Antonov Company to help Ukraine’s economic development and expansion,” stated Ted Colbert, CEO and president of Boeing Defence, Space, & Security.

“This agreement demonstrates our ongoing efforts to find more opportunities to work with Ukrainian industry, which was underscored by our signing of the Ukrainian Defence Industry Compact earlier this year.”

The areas of potential collaboration identified in the agreement consist of training, logistical support and overhaul services for tactical Unmanned Aerial Systems utilized by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which includes the ScanEagle. In addition, the companies will also explore opportunities for Antonov to provide engineering support to Boeing.
