According to the latest updates, Boeing has confirmed that all four of its test aircraft are actively involved in the final stages of the rigorous certification process, and with no major issues reported so far, the aircraft is on track to meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and environmental efficiency.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and CEO of Emirates Group, shared his expectations regarding the delivery of the first 777X aircraft.

Speaking at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, he confirmed that Emirates anticipates receiving its first 777X aircraft in the second half of 2026. Originally scheduled for delivery in 2025, the delivery timeline has been shifted to 2026, though the company remains optimistic about the aircraft’s future potential.

Emirates, the largest operator of Boeing 777 aircraft in the world, holds an impressive order of 205 Boeing 777X planes—a deal worth billions of dollars. In response to the delays, the airline has been proactive in retrofitting its existing fleet to ensure smooth operations until the new aircraft is delivered.

Sheikh Ahmed revealed that Emirates plans to retrofit 90% of its fleet, underscoring the airline’s commitment to maintaining service standards while it waits for the arrival of the 777X.
