Southwest Airlines announced a collaboration with Paul Quinn College in order to join the school’s renowned Urban Work College Program and serve as the official airline of the institution. Southwest Airlines® has long held the belief that educated communities are empowered communities. As a result, the company continues to invest in workforce development initiatives that expose students to the wide range of career options available in the aviation sector.
The first Urban Work College and the only federally accredited work college in America that serves minorities is Paul Quinn. Students can obtain practical work experience through the programme, which was launched in 2015, while reducing their dependency on student loans.
Southwest Airlines is investing in the school to support a variety of academic courses, ultimately motivating future generations to seek careers in aviation. Southwest Airlines is now the official airline of Paul Quinn College and the first airline in the school’s Corporate Work Program.
