The Reason Behind Boeing 777X's Absence at Paris Air Show 2025

The skies over Paris are set to dazzle as the world’s premier aerospace event, the Paris Airshow 2025, takes flight from June 19 to 25. With innovation and cutting-edge technology at the forefront, global aviation leaders will converge to unveil the future of flight.

Among the giants, Boeing is preparing to steal the spotlight, showcasing a stunning lineup of aircraft, defense platforms, autonomous technologies, and immersive experiences that reflect its vision for the next generation of aviation.

Boeing’s Grand Display of Innovation
At this year’s airshow, boeing will exhibit its diverse portfolio of commercial and defense aircraft, advanced autonomous solutions, and comprehensive aviation services. Located at Pavilion C-2, the Boeing exhibit will offer visitors an interactive, futuristic experience through immersive product displays and real-world technology demonstrations.

One of the highlights includes a full-size interior section of the 777X, where attendees can explore its spacious and advanced cabin design. The 777-8 Freighter Theater will provide a visual journey through Boeing’s newest freighter, showcasing its capabilities and next-gen cargo efficiency.

Commercial and Defense Aircraft on Static Display

Advanced Air Mobility on Display with Wisk Aero
Adjacent to the Boeing Pavilion, Wisk Aero—a Boeing-backed company—will present its 6th generation all-electric, autonomous passenger aircraft. As one of the pioneers in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), Wisk will provide a glimpse into the future of urban, eco-friendly transport through interactive displays and tech briefings.

Highlight: Qatar Airways’ PSG-Liveried 777-300ER
Adding flair to the tarmac, Qatar Airways will showcase a specially painted Boeing 777-300ER with a Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) livery—celebrating the partnership between the airline and the iconic football club. It promises to be a visual treat for both aviation and football fans.

Sustainability in Focus: Boeing Cascade Climate Impact Model
In alignment with Boeing’s commitment to sustainable aviation, the pavilion will also feature the Cascade Climate Impact Model—an advanced data visualization tool used to assess and optimize strategies for reducing aviation’s environmental footprint.

Special Media Access Opportunities
Media professionals can participate in guided visits to the 777X interior mockup and 777-8 Freighter Theater at the following times:

  • June 16, 17 & 19 at 11:00 a.m.
  • June 18 at 9:00 a.m.

Additional media tours of the KC-46, P-8, and CH-47 are available upon request. Interested media are advised to submit their name(s), organization, and preferred date to Airshow@exchange.boeing.com by Friday, June 13.
