Preliminary findings of the inquiry, based on the authorities, showed that another individual who was last seen leaving for a MARTA train had illegally removed the bag in question. According to Atlanta News First, two cops at the airport noticed the alleged thief that afternoon. Damian Alexander Parms was eventually identified as the suspect.

Parms was detained by police and questioned about the bag he had taken earlier that day. According to reports, Parms said to the police that he had taken the suitcase to the North Terminal and left it on a Spirit Airlines carousel.

The only thing that was taken, according to Atlanta police, was a charging chord from the backpack. Parms was taken into custody and taken to the Clayton County Jail. He was accused of taking away luggage, cargo, or other objects that were being stored in a terminal or being transported by bus.

Officers stated that when they questioned Parms about why he was at the airport that day, he did not react. The Atlanta Falcons drafted Parms as a defensive back in 2015. That year, he was released by the organization and then signed with the Buffalo Bills and Carolina Panthers.
