This Indian Airline Ranked as the Worst in the World by Survey

Air travel is an important part of modern life, and passengers expect airlines to offer affordable fares, reliable service, and a smooth travel experience. However, not all airlines meet these standards.

The AirHelp Score Report 2024 has revealed a list of the world’s worst-performing airlines, and unfortunately, some Indian carriers have been ranked among them. IndiGo, India’s largest and most popular low-cost airline, was ranked 103rd out of 109 airlines, placing it in the bottom 10.

While indigo is known for its punctual flights and affordable travel, it received a very low score of 0.3/10 for handling passenger claims, which brought down its overall score to 4.80/10. This result has sparked controversy and raised questions about the accuracy of the survey.

In response, indigo airlines has rejected the report’s findings. The airline pointed out that the survey lacks information on its sample size, methodology, and compensation guidelines.

IndiGo emphasized its strong performance in punctuality and low customer complaint ratios, which are regularly reported by India’s aviation regulator, the DGCA. The airline reassured passengers of its commitment to providing on-time, affordable, and hassle-free travel.

Other Indian airlines also received low rankings. AirAsia India was placed at 94th, while Air India, the national carrier, ranked 61st. Although Air India performed better than IndiGo and AirAsia, its position still highlighted areas for improvement.

IndiGo’s inclusion in the bottom 10 reflects a broader list of poorly ranked airlines worldwide. Some of the other airlines on the list include Sky Express from Greece, Air Mauritius, and Tarom from Romania. The worst-ranked airline was Tunisair from Tunisia, which took the 109th spot.
