Technical Glitch Grounds Air India’s Amsterdam Flight After 5 Hours in the Air

An Air India flight bound for Amsterdam was forced to return to New Delhi on Tuesday, hours after departure, drawing attention to ongoing operational and weather-related challenges.

Flight AI 155, operated by a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, was scheduled to depart Indira Gandhi International Airport at 1:15 pm IST and arrive in Amsterdam at 6:35 pm CET (11:05 pm IST). The aircraft took off at 1:17 pm but returned to Delhi after 5 hours and 34 minutes, as per flight-tracking platforms.

Sources suggest a technical issue may have prompted the aircraft’s return, though official confirmation from air india plane is awaited. The flight landed safely back in Delhi, and passengers were provided assistance.
