Embraer Launches New MRO Facility in Fort Worth, Creating 250 NewJobs
Embraer opens a new MRO facility in Dallas-Fort Worth, marking the start of a major expansion that includes a new hangar by 2027 and significant growth in U.S. operations.
Global aerospace leader Embraer has taken a major leap in expanding its U.S. footprint by launching a new Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO)facility at Perot Field Alliance Airport in Fort Worth, Texas.
This marks a strategic investment aimed at enhancing its service offerings and strengthening its presence in North America—a region crucial to its commercial aviation ambitions.
Phase One: Operational Kick-Off in Existing Hangar
Operations have already begun in an existing hangar at Alliance Airport. This initial move sets the stage for a broader development plan. The facility will support a wide range of MRO services for Embraer’s commercial aircraft fleet, enhancing turnaround times and service quality for U.S.-based customers.
Phase Two: A State-of-the-Art Hangar by 2027
The centerpiece of this expansion will be a brand-new hangar, now under development and scheduled for completion in 2027. Once operational, this new facility will significantly increase Embraer’s MRO capabilities in the region.
$70 Million Investment and 250 New Jobs
This two-phase expansion represents a $70 million investment, made possible in collaboration with the City of Fort Worth, Denton County, and the State of Texas. The project is expected to create around 250 high-skilled aviation jobs, giving a major boost to the local aerospace workforce and economy.
Strengthening the Aerospace Hub of Texas
Fort Worth’s status as a leading aerospace hub was highlighted by Bill Burton, Executive Vice President of Hillwood, who stated: Their phased expansion and investment underscore Fort Worth’s reputation as a hub of aerospace excellence.
Expanding a Global MRO Network
With the Fort Worth site, Embraer now operates 13 company-owned service centers, part of a global network of more than 80 authorized service centers. The move is expected to increase Embraer’s service capacity in the U.S. by 53%, underscoring the company’s long-term vision and confidence in the American aviation market.
