Embraer Expands with New Global Leasing and E-Freighter Division
Embraer is launching a dedicated Global Leasing and Freighter team in Amsterdam, unifying leasing and E-Jet freighter conversions
Embraer is making bold moves to reinforce its presence in the global cargo and leasing markets. Recently, the company has been expanding its footprint in the Middle East, focusing on growing demand for modern military airlift solutions.
With many Middle Eastern air forces still operating aging transport fleets, Embraer is positioning the embraer c-390 as a next-generation tactical airlifter to address this need.
Record-Breaking Growth and Future Ambitions
Embraer’s growth trajectory remains strong, with the company targeting up to 280 aircraft deliveries in 2024. On February 28, 2025, the company reported record revenues of $6.39 billion for 2024, reflecting a 21% increase from the previous year.
Looking ahead, Embraer aims to achieve revenues between $7 billion and $7.5 billion in 2025, further solidifying its position in the global aviation market.
A Unified Approach to Leasing and Freighter Operations
To enhance its leasing and cargo business, Embraer has established a new team based in Amsterdam, a key aviation hub. This team will focus on leasing activities and E-Jet passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversions, ensuring integrated solutions for airlines and lessors.
Leading this initiative is Oliver Gerg, appointed as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Global Leasing and Freighter. With extensive experience in leasing and his instrumental role in launching the E-Freighter in 2022, Gerg is well-equipped to drive this division forward.
Strengthening Market Position in Cargo and Military Sectors
embraer strategic initiatives underscore its commitment to innovation and customer-centric solutions. By strengthening its leasing and freighter operations, the company aims to better serve airlines and leasing firms while expanding its influence in both cargo and military aviation.
As Embraer continues to evolve, these moves signal a new chapter in its journey toward global aviation leadership. With an expanding footprint, innovative solutions, and a strong market presence, the company is well-positioned for sustained growth in the years ahead.
