Key Features of ‘ZipAhead’:
This new offering is tailored for time-conscious passengers who are not otherwise eligible for priority services but wish to streamline their airport experience. With ‘ZipAhead,’ travelers can enjoy priority check-in at Air India’s Premium Economy counters and receive expedited baggage handling.
Currently, the service is available for departures from six major Indian airports: Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata. Pricing for ‘ZipAhead’ is as follows:
- INR 499 – If purchased more than 6 hours before departure
- INR 699 – If purchased within 6 hours of departure
Passengers can avail of the service up to 75 minutes before departure through Air India’s website, mobile app, airport ticketing offices, and customer contact center.
Additionally, Platinum and Gold members of Air India’s Maharaja Club loyalty program will receive complimentary access to ‘ZipAhead,’ irrespective of their fare type or class of travel.
The airline has optimized its international schedules, enabling quicker connections between the UK, Europe, Australia, and South-East Asia. Additionally, Air India Dallas services are set to expand as part of its broader Air India international network upgrades 2025.
Delhi-Tokyo Haneda Flight Schedule
The airline is also shifting its Tokyo operations from Narita International Airport (NRT) to the centrally located Haneda Airport (HND) and expanding its codeshare agreement with All Nippon Airways.
Strengthened European Connectivity
Beyond Japan, Air India has expanded its codeshare agreements with Lufthansa, SWISS, and Austrian Airlines, significantly boosting its European network. Nearly 60 new codeshare routes, covering 12 Indian and 26 European cities.
To support its expanding fleet and growing operations, Air India continues to invest in its workforce through the Air India Cadet Pilot Program.
