British Airways Boosts Summer 2026 Services to Popular Destinations Worldwide
For summer 2026, British Airways boosts flights to key long-haul destinations, including Bangkok, Miami, Jamaica, and New York, offering travellers more options and connectivity.
As summer 2026 approaches, British Airways is gearing up to give travellers even more options, flexibility, and comfort.
The airline has announced an ambitious expansion of its long-haul network from London Gatwick and Heathrow, adding flights to popular destinations across Southeast Asia, the Americas, and the Middle East. From tropical getaways in Jamaica to cultural escapes in Bangkok, passengers can look forward to more choices for their next summer adventure.
Bangkok: Year-Round Connectivity
Following strong demand, British Airways will operate year-round flights from London Gatwick to Bangkok, upgrading the route from its previous winter-only schedule. Starting summer 2026, services to Bangkok will run three times per week, with six weekly flights during the winter, reflecting the airline’s commitment to Southeast Asia.
With nearly 60,000 additional seats, travellers can also take advantage of the expanded codeshare partnership with Bangkok Airways, enabling seamless connections to Phuket, Phnom Penh, and beyond.
Jamaica: More Weekly Services
The airline has added an extra weekly service to Kingston, Jamaica, bringing the total to four flights per week for the summer 2026 season. With Jamaica expecting five million tourist arrivals by March 2026, British Airways is increasing capacity by over 300 seats per week, reinforcing its position as the Caribbean’s longest-serving UK airline.
Miami & Dallas: Returning Services
British Airways will reintroduce double-daily flights from London Heathrow to Miami and a daily service to Dallas-Fort Worth, offering greater flexibility for travellers heading to the United States.
Las Vegas, San Diego & Austin: Increased Frequency
Flights from Heathrow to Las Vegas are increasing from 10 to 13 per week, while services to San Diego and Austin will now operate 14 times weekly, providing more options for summer getaways across the US.
New York: Premium Service from Heathrow
New York (JFK) flights will now operate exclusively from Heathrow, improving connections to Europe, the US, and beyond. The airline will operate nine weekly flights, with the latest addition using a 777-200 fleet featuring First and Club Suite long-haul business class, delivering a premium experience on this flagship route.
Middle East: Expanded Services
British Airways is enhancing services across the Middle East:
- Bahrain: Daily flights, more than doubling weekly frequency.
- Jeddah: Five flights per week.
- Riyadh: 14 flights per week.
- Doha: 14 flights per week.
These upgrades offer travellers greater flexibility for both business and leisure travel, connecting London with key destinations in Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
Short-Haul Network Expansion
The airline is also growing its short-haul network, with year-round services from Gatwick to Rabat, Morocco, and Graz, Austria, starting from the 2025 winter season via BA Euroflyer, its Gatwick-based subsidiary.
With these additions, British Airways is positioning itself as the airline of choice for summer 2026, ensuring passengers enjoy more seats, more destinations, and more flexibility when planning their next journey.
