Boeing to Showcase These Aircraft at the Singapore Airshow 2026
At the Singapore Airshow 2026, Boeing highlights autonomy, sustainability, and rising air travel demand with next-gen aircraft
As the countdown begins for the Singapore Airshow 2026, scheduled from 3 to 8 February, global attention is once again turning to Asia’s most influential aerospace event.
Among the most anticipated participants this year is Boeing, which is set to showcase how growth, autonomy, and sustainability are shaping the future of aviation across Southeast Asia—one of the world’s fastest-expanding air travel markets.
Boeing’s Vision for a Rapidly Growing Southeast Asian Market
With air travel demand accelerating across Southeast Asia, Boeing will spotlight its comprehensive portfolio of commercial airplanes, defense platforms, and advanced services at the airshow. The company projects that regional passenger air traffic will grow at an annual rate of 7%, driving demand for 4,885 new airplanes by 2044.
This expansion will also create a massive workforce requirement. Boeing estimates the region will need around 243,000 new aviation professionals, including more than 62,000 pilots, over the next two decades to support and sustain the growing global commercial fleet.
Autonomy and Innovation Take Center Stage
A major highlight of Boeing’s presence will be its autonomous aviation technologies for both commercial and defense customers.
For the first time at the Singapore Airshow, visitors will see Wisk Aero’s air taxi cabin, following the successful first flight of its Generation 6 autonomous aircraft in December 2025. This appearance marks a significant step toward autonomous urban air mobility, offering a glimpse into how future city transportation may evolve.
Boeing subsidiary Insitu Pacific, participating as part of the Team Defence Australia delegation, will also showcase its proven ScanEagle and Integrator unmanned systems, emphasizing their operational payload capabilities for defense and surveillance missions.
Immersive Displays: Experiencing the Future of Flight
Visitors to the Boeing pavilion will be able to engage with two immersive and interactive experiences:
- A full-size Boeing 777X interior section, highlighting its wider cabin, modern architecture, and enhanced passenger comfort
- Wisk’s Gen 6 all-electric air taxi cabin, paired with virtual reality headsets that allow visitors to experience autonomous flight concepts firsthand
Static Display: Boeing Defense Aircraft on Show
Boeing’s strong defense portfolio will be prominently featured through a static aircraft display, including:
- KC-46 Pegasus aerial refueling tanker
- P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft
- AH-64 Apache attack helicopter
- F-15 Eagle fighter aircraft
- CH-47 Chinook heavy-lift helicopter
These platforms underscore Boeing’s continued role in supporting regional security and interoperability.
