Air India and Saudia have partnered through a codeshare agreement to offer smoother connections, wider route choices, and enhanced travel flexibility between India, Saudi Arabia, and beyond.

Air India has taken another major step in strengthening its international footprint by signing a new codeshare agreement with Saudia, the national carrier of Saudi Arabia.
The partnership is set to enhance connectivity between India and the Kingdom, offering passengers smoother journeys, wider network access, and greater flexibility across key domestic and international routes.
A Strategic Partnership to Enhance Connectivity
India’s flagship carrier, Air India, has entered into a codeshare agreement with Saudia Airlines aimed at creating a more seamless travel experience for passengers of both airlines.
The collaboration is designed to boost connectivity, expand network reach, and support rising demand across tourism, business travel, and other passenger segments between India and Saudi Arabia.
Seamless Travel Experience for Passengers
Under the new agreement, passengers will benefit from simplified booking and ticketing processes, single-itinerary travel, and baggage check-through to their final destination. This ensures smoother connections and a more convenient end-to-end journey, reducing the complexities often associated with multi-airline travel.
Expanded Access Within Saudi Arabia
air india new 787 passengers flying to Jeddah or Riyadh will be able to connect seamlessly onto Saudia-operated flights to key Saudi cities, including Dammam, Abha, Gassim, Gizan, Madinah, and Taif. The inclusion of codeshare flights on the Jeddah–Riyadh sector also provides added flexibility, allowing travelers to arrive in one city and depart from another with ease.
Further connections to select international destinations are expected to be added later this year, expanding the partnership’s global appeal.
Greater Reach Across India for Saudia Guests
The agreement also opens up extensive access to India for Saudia’s passengers. Through Air India’s hubs in Mumbai and Delhi, Saudia guests will gain connectivity to major Indian cities such as Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Kochi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Lucknow, Jaipur, and more than 15 additional destinations via interline and codeshare arrangements.
Easier Access to Saudi Arabia for Indian Travelers
Saudi Arabia has become an increasingly attractive destination for Indian travelers. With e-visas, stopover visas, and visa-on-arrival facilities available for eligible Indian passport holders, visiting the Kingdom has never been easier. The new codeshare agreement further strengthens this accessibility by improving flight options and travel convenience.
Air India’s Growing Global Network
Since its privatization in 2022, air india has aggressively expanded its global partnerships. The airline now maintains 24 codeshare agreements and nearly 100 interline partnerships with leading international carriers. Together, these collaborations provide Air India customers seamless access to over 800 destinations worldwide.
Looking Ahead
Set to take effect in February, the air india–Saudia codeshare agreement marks another milestone in air india 787-9 transformation journey. By combining extensive networks and enhancing passenger convenience, the partnership underscores both airlines’ commitment to delivering a superior travel experience while strengthening air connectivity between India, Saudi Arabia, and beyond.
