Man refuses to switch seats to sit next to girlfriend on flight after holiday from hell

Man refuses to switch seats to sit next to girlfriend on flight after holiday from hell

Zack Bornstein claimed that he had recently taken a flight that had divided him from his girlfriend, placing one of them in the window seat and the other in the aisle seat, with a total stranger sitting in the middle seat between them.

The American user explains that after finishing his examinations, he and his girlfriend took a short trip to Ohio. However, he claimed that “she started finding things to complain about” during the break. The pair were forced to seat apart on the plane since their trip was fully booked and overbooked. The woman asked for the passenger seated next to her to switch places since she wanted to sit with her boyfriend.

The man was asked if he would like to switch to the aisle seat, but he declined, saying he would much rather face the uncomfortable position of sitting between a couple for the duration of the flight.

“Losing my mind, just gave the aisle seat to the guy sitting between me and my girlfriend on a flight, and he replied he’d rather stay in the middle seat between us,” Zack said in a Twitter post about the incident.

In a subsequent tweet, he asserted that he had also offered the stranger the window seat, but that offer had also been declined. The majority of people who wrote comments on the post were baffled by the man’s conduct since they couldn’t understand why somebody would purposefully chose to sit in the middle seat when nicer seats are available, unless they were specifically trying to make other passengers feel uncomfortable.

One person remarked: “My wife and I would make the flight’s middle seat passengers’ lives a living hell.” Another person continued, “His behaviour is odd and simply openly oppositional.

However, some claimed that the man is not the first one who has decided to stay in the middle seat on a flight as they shared their own experiences with such passengers.
