Qatar Airways and JetBlue Further Enhance Codeshare Agreement

JetBlue passengers can now fly on Qatar Airways to 11 new exciting destinations

DOHA, Qatar – Qatar Airways today announced the deepening of its relationship with JetBlue through the expansion of the airlines’ codeshare agreement. This expansion allows JetBlue passengers to enjoy unrivalled travel options between the United States and 11 new destinations, in 8 different countries across Africa and Asia via Doha’s Hamad International Airport.

Incredible cities to be discovered include Accra, Addis-Ababa, Alexandria, Bangkok, Cairo, Denpasar, Harare, Jakarta, Khartoum, Phuket, and Windhoek. These 11 new markets will be added to the 13 existing codeshare destinations already available to JetBlue customers within the Qatar Airways’ network in Africa, Asia and Middle-East.

This builds on the airlines’ partnership that first began in 2011. Qatar Airways passengers already benefit from access to over 50 destinations across JetBlue’s network, including being able to book travel on JetBlue’s extensive routes between the United States, the Caribbean and Latin America regions.

Along with expanded destinations, customers will also enjoy enhancements that link the carriers’ loyalty programmes. Privilege Club and TrueBlue members benefit from the ability to accrue Privilege Club Avios or TrueBlue points as part of this codeshare agreement. In the future, these benefits will expand with the ability to redeem points on either carrier’s flights.

Air India Rolls Out A350s for Delhi-New York JFK and Newark Routes

In a major development for North American travelers, Air India has announced the deployment of its state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 aircraft on two key routes: Delhi to New York and Delhi to Newark.

The service on the Delhi-New York route will commence on November 1, 2024, while the Delhi-Newark route will see its inaugural flight on January 2, 2025.

The A350’s Business class will set new standards with 28 private suites, each equipped with full-flat beds, direct aisle access, and personal wardrobes. Economy class will be configured to accommodate 264 passengers in a 3-4-3 layout. Across all cabins, passengers will enjoy the latest Panasonic eX3 in-flight entertainment system, offering over 2,200 hours of content.

This strategic deployment marks a notable enhancement in Air India’s U.S. operations, with 60% of its flights to the U.S. now featuring new or upgraded cabin interiors.
