PIA Cleared for Takeoff: UK Lifts 5-Year Ban on Pakistani Flights

After arriving in Toronto last week, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight attendant is said to have vanished. According to reports, after appearing for immigration at Toronto airport, steward Aijaz Ali Shah apparently disappeared in Canada. Despite efforts by the PIA to prevent these incidents, Dawn claimed that this was the third such incident this year.

Toronto Pearson International Airport received the PIA flight from Islamabad at 4 p.m. on October 14. As a result of Shah missing his return flight on Sunday, which he was supposed to board, CTV News Toronto reported that he was formally declared missing.

The’ missing’ crew member was also reported to Canadian immigration officials by the PIA management. According to Dawn, Shah, a native of Bahria Town in Rawalpindi, joined the national flag carrier 20 years ago.

Shah was the first person in the row when they arrived at the airport, so he walked immediately to the Canadian immigration office. However, when none of the crew members could locate him again at the airport, Shah disappeared. The other crew members searched for Shah at the airport and waited for him in their bus for nearly two hours after he disappeared from the airport.
