According to the source, the plane arrived in Hyderabad on schedule and was waiting to descend over Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. The lightning strike happened just here, as it was waiting for permission to land and hovering above the airport.
Then it was announced to the passengers that the flight will return to Bengaluru’s KIA for refuelling; however, the real explanation is reportedly Hyderabad’s air traffic jam caused by the terrible weather, which prevented the jet from landing. According to the report, there were 91 people travelling on the Airbus A320.
