LOTAMS Makes History as Europe’s First E2 Embraer Service Hub
In a major milestone for aviation maintenance in Europe, LOTAMS has been officially designated as the first Embraer Authorized Service Center (EASC) for the E2 aircraft family, following a rigorous audit by the Polish Civil Aviation Authority.
This landmark achievement reinforces LOTAMS’ position as a leading MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) provider in Europe and strengthens Embraer’s support network for its next-generation E2 jets.
A Decade-Long Partnership Culminates in E2 Certification
The collaboration between Embraer, a global aerospace leader, and LOTAMS dates back over a decade. The two companies formalized their MRO partnership in 2012, when LOTAMS became an EASC for the ERJ-145 and first-generation E-Jets.
Since then, LOTAMS has performed an impressive 250,000 maintenance hours annually on Embraer aircraft, accumulating over three million hours to date.
With this new authorization, LOTAMS becomes the first facility in Europe certified to perform:
- Routine and scheduled maintenance for E2 aircraft
- Unscheduled repairs
- Component servicing
Expanding Capacity to Meet Europe’s Growing E2 Fleet Demand
Currently, LOTAMS operates five dedicated E-Jet maintenance bays across its facilities at:
- Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW)
- Rzeszów-Jasionka Ulma Family Airport (RZE)
To accommodate the rising demand for E2 maintenance, the company plans to expand its capacity, ensuring seamless support for airlines operating Embraer’s latest-generation jets.
A Trusted MRO Provider for Global Airlines
LOTAMS is already a preferred maintenance partner for four of the world’s top 10 airlines and three of Europe’s four largest carriers. Beyond Embraer aircraft, the company also services:
- Boeing 787 Dreamliners
- Boeing 737 NG & MAX
- Embraer E170/E175/E190/E195
This latest authorization cements LOTAMS’ reputation as a premier MRO hub in Europe, offering unmatched expertise in Embraer aircraft maintenance.
Looking Ahead: Strengthening Embraer’s European Support Network
With the E2 fleet expanding rapidly across Europe, Embraer’s decision to certify LOTAMS as its first EASC for the E2 series ensures faster, more efficient maintenance solutions for airlines. This move not only enhances operational reliability but also underscores Poland’s growing role in the global aviation MRO sector.
For airlines operating Embraer E2 jets, this development means streamlined maintenance processes, reduced downtime, and expert care from one of Europe’s most experienced service providers.
