IndiGo and KLM Partner to Open 30 New European Routes
IndiGo strengthens its international reach through an extended codeshare deal with KLM, boosting connectivity to key European and UK cities.
IndiGo, India’s most preferred and fastest-growing airline, continues to spread its wings across international skies. In its latest move to strengthen global connectivity, IndiGo has announced an expanded codeshare agreement with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, the national carrier of the Netherlands.
This expansion promises to offer seamless access for Indian travelers to over 30 destinations across Europe and the UK, all via Amsterdam.
Expanded Access Across Europe and the UK
Under the extended agreement, IndiGo will now place its airline code on KLM-operated flights to 30 key destinations, including Paris, London, Berlin, Madrid, Brussels, Stockholm, Helsinki, Prague, Oslo, and Geneva.
This marks a significant increase from their earlier 2022 codeshare deal, which allowed KLM passengers access to 24 cities within India through IndiGo’s domestic network.
Nonstop Service via Amsterdam
Further boosting its European footprint, IndiGo recently launched nonstop long-haul flights from Mumbai to Amsterdam, operated using a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner leased from Norse Atlantic Airways. This direct connection serves as a vital link, making Amsterdam a key hub for passengers flying between India and Europe.
Building on Global Airline Collaboration
This expansion also follows the broader strategic alliance formed during the 81st IATA Annual General Meeting in June 2025, where IndiGo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KLM, Air France, Delta Air Lines, and Virgin Atlantic.
The goal: to create a world-class, interconnected aviation network that simplifies global travel across India, North America, Europe, and the UK.
Together, the partner airlines aim to deliver enhanced flexibility, schedule options, and smoother transitions for international flyers—particularly as global travel demand continues to rise post-pandemic.
Bookings Open from August 01
Travelers can now book flights to European and UK destinations directly on indigo website or mobile app, starting August 1, 2025, for travel from August 11, 2025—pending final regulatory approvals.
Along with the convenience of a unified travel itinerary, passengers will benefit from through check-in of baggage, quicker connections, and the reliability of two of the world’s trusted carriers.
Conclusion: A Major Step in IndiGo’s Global Journey
With this extended codeshare partnership, IndiGo reinforces its commitment to making international travel more convenient, accessible, and efficient for Indian passengers. As the airline continues to scale new global heights, its collaboration with KLM represents a strong step toward building an interconnected future in air travel—one flight at a time.
