India Hits Back Hard: 100+ Terrorists Eliminated in Operation Sindoor
On May 6–7, 2025, India launched Operation Sindoor, a powerful military response to recent terror attacks, demonstrating its resolve to combat terrorism. In a national address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Indian Armed Forces for their bravery and highlighted India’s growing strength in modern warfare and counterterrorism.
PM Modi Condemns Pahalgam Terror Attack
Modi strongly condemned the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, where innocent civilians were killed for their faith. He described it as a brutal act meant to divide India and said the nation stood united in grief and determination. He assured the public that the government gave the military complete freedom to act.
Operation Sindoor: A Decisive Strike Against Terrorism
PM Modi described Operation Sindoor as a historic moment that reflected India’s emotional and strategic resolve. The Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy launched precise missile and drone strikes on terrorist camps in Pakistan, targeting places like Bahawalpur and Muridke—long known hubs of global terrorism. Over 100 terrorists, including top leaders, were eliminated.
India’s Advanced Defense Neutralizes Pakistan’s Response
Pakistan retaliated by attacking Indian civilian and military sites, but India’s air defense systems effectively neutralized their efforts. In return, India struck back harder, damaging several of Pakistan’s airbases and military assets. Within days, Pakistan suffered unexpected losses and approached India seeking to reduce tensions. India agreed to temporarily pause its counter-operations but remains vigilant.
India’s New Counter-Terrorism Strategy
PM Modi introduced three pillars of India’s new security doctrine:
- Decisive Retaliation – Strong, timely response to any terrorist attack.
- No Nuclear Blackmail – India will not be threatened by nuclear posturing.
- No Distinction Between Terrorists and Their Sponsors – Governments supporting terrorism will face consequences.
He criticized Pakistan for supporting terrorism, highlighting that top Pakistani military officials attended funerals of slain terrorists, revealing state sponsorship.
Made in India Defense Proves Its Power
The Prime Minister also highlighted the success of Made in India defense systems, which played a key role in Operation Sindoor. This marks India’s emergence as a leader in 21st-century warfare, showcasing its strength in drone technology, missile precision, and modern defense strategy.
India’s Stand: Terror and Talks Cannot Coexist
Modi reaffirmed India’s long-held stance: “Terror and talks cannot go together.” He said any future dialogue with Pakistan will focus only on terrorism and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). He warned that if Pakistan wants peace, it must dismantle its terror infrastructure.
India’s Message to the World
On the occasion of Buddha Purnima, Modi reminded the world that while this is not an era of war, it cannot be an era of terrorism either. He emphasized that “Zero Tolerance for Terrorism” is the key to global peace and India’s strength is essential to protecting peace and progress.
Conclusion
PM Modi concluded by saluting the courage of the Indian Armed Forces and the unity of the Indian people. Operation Sindoor has set a new benchmark in India’s national security policy and sent a strong message to the world: India will act decisively to protect its sovereignty and citizens from terrorism.
