Hawaiian Airlines’ All-Female Pilot Crew Soars to New Heights”
Hawaiian Airlines honored a significant achievement on Friday. The airline deployed an all-female, all-Hawaiian pilot crew for the first time ever.
Flight HA90 from Honolulu to Boston was piloted by the three women. Hawaiian Airlines employees, both current and former, are the parents of the three pilots who flew flight HA90 from Honolulu to Boston. They are all graduates of Kamehameha Schools – Kapālama Campus.
Together, Airbus 330 Captain Kimberly Haʻole Anderson and First Officers Mahina Ma and Alyssa Kehaulani Jay have 42 years of Hawaiian Airlines experience.
According to Hawaiian Airlines, it will have the most female pilots among all major US airlines in 2022, with more than 9.5% of its pilots being female, compared to a global industry average of 5.8%.
