Emirates Retrofits A380s, B777s for 8 Cities and Prepares A350 Debut in Australia
Emirates upgrades its fleet with retrofitted A380s and B777s for 8 destinations and prepares to launch A350 flights to Adelaide this December.
Emirates — the Middle East’s most iconic airline — continues to elevate the travel experience for its customers. In a major move to make journeys more convenient and seamless, Emirates has retrofitted its flagship emirates a380 and Boeing 777 aircraft.
These refreshed aircraft will soon be deployed to eight key cities across the globe, offering travelers an upgraded onboard experience.
Additionally, Emirates is set to receive its first Airbus A350 this year, marking a new chapter with the aircraft’s debut flights to Australia, including the launch of new services to Adelaide starting December 1st.
Emirates’ Retrofits and Global Deployment
With a massive $5 billion investment, Emirates has undertaken the largest retrofit program ever seen in the aviation industry. Thanks to the meticulous efforts of over 270 engineers and technicians, who dedicate over 1,800 manhours daily, the airline is setting a new standard for in-flight luxury and comfort.
As part of this rollout, emirates a380 economy will refresh services on its Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s across these destinations:
- Bangkok: Emirates flights EK372/373 will operate with the refreshed A380 beginning 1 July 2025, offering travelers the latest in luxury and technology.
- Hong Kong: Starting 1 October, Hong Kong will welcome its first Emirates A380 featuring four-class configurations and newly designed interiors on flights EK380/381, complementing retrofitted Boeing 777 operations beginning this summer.
- Nice: Emirates will introduce its latest Premium Economy cabins to the French Riviera, with services EK077/078 deploying the retrofitted A380 from 15 October.
- Perth: Reinforcing Australia’s importance in Emirates’ network, Perth will become the fourth Australian city to experience the next-generation A380, starting 26 October on flights EK420/421.
- Madrid: From 15 October, customers traveling to and from Madrid will enjoy a new level of comfort with the retrofitted emirates business class 777 on EK143/144, marking the first destination in Spain with Emirates’ next-gen interiors.
- Kuala Lumpur: The Malaysian capital will see upgraded boeing 777-300er emirates services on EK346/347 beginning 15 October.
- Frankfurt: In a first for Germany, Frankfurt will welcome Emirates’ latest generation cabins with a retrofitted Boeing 777 operating daily EK043/044 flights starting 15 December.
- Phuket: emirates flights’ upgraded Boeing 777 will start servicing Phuket from 1 December, enhancing the daily EK396/397 journey for holidaymakers.
Additionally, Dublin will benefit from its second refitted Boeing 777 starting 1 December, further strengthening Emirates’ presence in Ireland with enhanced services.
Expansion with Airbus A350 and Entry into Adelaide
Further highlighting its global ambitions, Emirates is preparing to introduce the Airbus A350 into its fleet this year.
This modern aircraft will not only boost the airline’s operational capabilities but also mark Emirates’ strategic expansion into Australia, starting with the launch of new services to Adelaide on 1 December.
With the addition of the A350s and the rollout of refurbished A380s and Boeing 777s, Emirates will soon serve over 70 cities worldwide with upgraded, state-of-the-art aircraft — ensuring a seamless, comfortable, and premium travel experience for millions of passengers.
