British Airways has unveiled a significant transformation of its loyalty program, introducing a fresh approach to rewarding customer loyalty.

Renamed ‘The British Airways Club’, the revamped program will take effect from April 1, 2025, offering innovative ways for members to earn Tier Points, achieve milestones, and enjoy exclusive benefits.

A New Era for Loyalty

The British Airways Executive Club will transition into The british airways Club, featuring a modernized look and feel. With this update, the airline is introducing a more flexible Tier Point system that rewards members based on their spending rather than traditional metrics. This change aligns with the airline’s ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional value to its customers.

Enhanced Tier Point Earning Opportunities

From April 2025, members will earn 1 Tier Point for every £1 spent on british airways flights eligible and ancillary purchases, including seat selection and excess baggage. This update makes it possible to achieve elite status with fewer trips while enjoying luxurious getaways.

Exciting Additions Later in 2025

• Credit Card Spending: BA American Express Premium Plus Cardholders will be able to earn up to 2,500 Tier Points annually through card usage, offering additional flexibility for loyal customers.
• Milestone Rewards: Members will unlock exclusive milestone benefits, starting with bonus Avios gifts at thresholds of 2,500, 4,000, and 5,000 Tier Points within Bronze and Silver tiers.

Seamless Transition and Celebration

For customers with bookings after April 1, 2025, Tier Points will be awarded using a conversion of the current system. This ensures that all members receive proportionate rewards under the new model, with the potential to earn the same or more Tier Points than before.

To celebrate the launch of The British Airways Club, the airline is offering bonus Tier Points for bookings made before February 14, 2025, for travel starting April 1. Bonus points will vary by cabin class, from Euro Traveller to First, making now the perfect time to plan future trips.
