Breeze Airways Introduces Service from Raleigh-Durham to Hartford, New Orleans and Providence

David Neeleman, Nice™ low-fare airline founded by aviation entrepreneur Breeze Airways, today announced plans for new service from Raleigh-Durham International in North Carolina, the airline’s 35th destination, to Hartford, New Orleans, and Providence on February 16 and 17, 2023. Additionally, starting on February 3, Breeze will resume service between Pittsburgh and Hartford and introduce new service between Pittsburgh and New Orleans.

If booked by November 21 for travel by May 16, 2023, prices for the nonstop flights start at $49* one-way.

Raleigh-Durham, NC (RDU) to:

  • Hartford, CT (Thurs and Sun, starting February 16, Nice from $49* one way; Nicer from $79*);
  • New Orleans, LA (Thurs, Fri, Sun and Mon, starting February 16, Nice from $59* one way; Nicer from $89*); and
  • Providence, RI (Fri and Mon, starting February 17, Nice from $49* one way; Nicer from $79*).

Hartford (BDL) to:

  • Pittsburgh, PA** (Fri and Mon, starting February 3, Nice from $49* one way; Nicer from $59*; Nicest from $129*); and
  • Raleigh-Durham, NC (Thurs and Sun, starting February 16, Nice from $49* one way; Nicer from $79*).

New Orleans, LA, to:

The airline’s business strategy is to provide reasonable tickets with lots of extras like complimentary family seating, no change or cancellation costs up to 15 minutes before departure, and improved seating options like Extra Legroom and First Class seats**. Customers can create a customised vacation experience by selecting from a la carte or bundled choices.

Standard Economy seat pitch on the A220s and E-195s is 30 inches, whereas Extra Legroom seat pitch varies depending on the row and is 32 inches on the A220s and between 34 and 39 inches on the E-195s. First Class seats have a 20.5-inch seat width, a 39-inch seat pitch, and unique features including a footrest for extra comfort, in-seat AC power, and USB/C connections.

First Look: IndiGo Takes Delivery of A321neo with New Business Class

India’s largest domestic airline, IndiGo (6E), celebrated its 18th anniversary in August 2024 by announcing a major upgrade: a new Business Class product called “IndiGo Stretch.”

Now, the airline has officially taken delivery of its first Airbus A321neo aircraft fitted with these premium seats. Registered as VT-ICF, this first A321neo with the new configuration took off from Hamburg (XFW) at 6:06 PM local time, operating flight 6E9001.

The launch route for IndiGo’s A321neo with IndiGo Stretch seats will be from Delhi to Mumbai, starting November 14, 2024. After this initial route, the airline plans to expand the offering across its network.

Airbus completed the final assembly of this special aircraft in Hamburg, where the A321neo Final Assembly Line is located. Enthusiastic planespotters got a sneak peek of the new IndiGo Stretch interior before the aircraft’s official delivery to India.

Tobias Gudat, a planespotter on X.com, captured images of the aircraft, still marked with its test registration, showcasing its fresh Business Class interior.

Adding a distinctive touch, each IndiGo aircraft featuring the Stretch product will have the slogan “IndiGo Means Business” displayed on the fuselage, signaling a new era of premium travel for the airline.

IndiGo took delivery of the A321neo with the Stretch seats on October 30, 2024, coinciding with Airbus’s delivery of the world’s first A321XLR to Iberia.
