Aeroflot offers 190 destinations in the autumn-winter schedule

Aeroflot will debut its winter schedule on October 29, which will be valid until March 30, 2024. These season flights are accessible to 190 destinations, 104 of which are domestic. The total number of destinations is 10% higher than the previous year, and carrying capacity is 15% higher.

Aeroflot runs its own flights to 114 destinations. Under the SU code, Rossiya Airlines (a subsidiary of the Aeroflot Group) operates in various directions.

This winter, passengers will have access to the new international regular flights.

  • from Moscow to Mauritius and Shymkent (Kazakhstan);
  • from St. Petersburg and Ekaterinburg to Phuket;
  • from St. Petersburg to Hurgada and Sharm-el-Sheikh;
  • from Kazan, Novosibirsk and Ekaterinburg to Dubai.

In addition, the timetable will once again include flights from St. Petersburg to Domodedovo International Airport and from Moscow to Abu-Dhabi, Hong Kong, and Havana. Rossiya Airlines will be running flights to Domodedovo and Havana.

The frequency of flights to a few international destinations, popular with beach vacationers, will be greatly increased: up to 21 weekly flights from Moscow to Dubai; up to 10 weekly flights from Bangkok; up to 17 weekly flights from Phuket; up to 10 weekly flights from Sharm-el-Sheikh; up to 10 weekly flights from Male; up to 4 weekly flights from Colombo; and up to 3 weekly flights from Mae.

The regional flight program to Thailand will be presented by direct flights from seven Russian cities. The flights to Phuket will be operated from St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Ekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk and Khabarovsk. For fans of winter activities Aeroflot will increase the flight frequency from Moscow to Kirovsk. The flights will be operated daily.

There are 23 local and foreign destinations on Siberian Hub’s route network. At the D.A. Hvorostovsky International Airport in Krasnoyarsk, Aeroflot will run its own direct flights to Moscow, Bangkok, and Phuket, while Rossiya Airlines will fly to Sochi, St. Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Blagoveshchensk, Khanty-Mansi, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, Mineralnye Vody, Tyumen, Ulan-Ude, Yakutsk, Novy Urengoy, Chita, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Almaty, Astana, Bishkek, Osh, and Tashkent. Additionally, travellers will be able to board Rossiya Airlines’ new Krasnoyarsk — Novokuznetsk route.

Aeroflot serves eleven locations from Ekaterinburg: Moscow, Dubai, Phuket, Bangkok, Goa, Mineralnye Vody, Sochi, Yerevan, and Istanbul. Flights from the capital of the Ural to St. Petersburg and Krasnoyarsk will be provided by Rossiya Airlines.

Air India to Launch aircraft maintenance training institute in Bengaluru

Air India, one of India’s leading global airlines, is set to establish a Basic Maintenance Training Organization (BMTO) in Bengaluru.

This institute will offer a comprehensive Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) program certified by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The program will follow an integrated 2+2 year structure, combining classroom learning with practical, hands-on training.

This initiative is part of Air India’s broader goal of creating a robust aviation ecosystem in India. With plans to expand its fleet and strengthen its operations, the airline aims to build a skilled workforce of maintenance engineers, making the organization self-reliant while supporting its ambitious transformation journey.

To bring this vision to life, air india has partnered with Bengaluru Airport City Limited (BACL), a subsidiary of Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL). Together, they will develop a state-of-the-art facility spanning 86,000 square feet at Bengaluru Airport City.

This purpose-built campus will feature modern classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, and qualified trainers to deliver world-class education and training. The institute is expected to become operational by mid-2026.

The BMTO will be located close to Air India’s new 12-bay Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility, also set to open in Bengaluru by early 2026. The AME program will begin with two years of academic coursework, followed by two years of practical training at the MRO, ensuring students receive hands-on experience adhering to industry standards.

In the meantime, Air India has introduced a Cadet AME program in collaboration with reputable institutions in Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

This ensures continuity in its commitment to developing skilled aircraft maintenance engineers while the BMTO facility is under construction. The program also allows students to pursue a bachelor’s degree through university partnerships, enhancing their career and academic opportunities.
