13 airplanes were destroyed at Khartoum Airport in Sudan during the Conflict.
Fighting between the Sudanese Army and a strong paramilitary organization broke out on Saturday in Khartoum, the country’s capital, after months of rising tensions. All flights at the Khartoum Airport in Sudan have been canceled as the army battles the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces. US, UK, and other foreign embassies have issued advisories to its people telling them to seek shelter.
When Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces took control of Khartoum Airport after days of instability in the country, a Saudia A330 was among the damaged aircraft.
The attackers from Sudan destroyed the airport and the planes there, and many things were taken, hostage. According to the United Nations special representative for Sudan, fighting between opposing factions in Sudan has resulted in at least 185 deaths and 1,800 injuries over the course of three days.

Why has conflict started in Sudan?
Conflict about how to integrate RSF paramilitaries into the Sudanese army was the recent background of the violence. After the RSF began sending members around the nation and to Khartoum without the army’s official consent, tensions reached a breaking point.
