Woman attacks hubby at airport after finding ‘indecent’ images on his phone
A couple’s trip to South Carolina was cut short before it even got going when the wife was detained for reportedly beating her husband at the airport after discovering lewd pictures on his phone.
After the violent altercation on Wednesday at the Charleston International Airport, Paula Barbour, 55, was charged with third-degree domestic violence, according to WCSC. The pair were engaged in an argument when police arrived on the scene at 2:50 p.m. to react to an “active domestic” situation.
According to the police incident report that the outlet was able to obtain, the suspect said that all she wanted was to fly home and away from the victim. She claimed that while on vacation in South Carolina, she “saw multiple lewd photographs” on his cellphone, which made her mood worse.
She questioned him about the lewd photos, and they got into a fight. Although the man claimed to have been attacked, security footage allegedly showed his wife kicking him in the knees, tossing the phone to the ground, and attempting to strike him in the face. After confessing to hitting him, Barbour was taken into custody.
After being brought to the Al Cannon Detention Facility, she was later released on a $5,237 bail.
