United Airlines announced the return of kids’ meals onboard

United debuts new and free snack menu for all economy passengers

Today, United Airlines announced the return of kids’ meals onboard, just in time for holiday travel. On a few United flights, children can now choose from the breakfast and lunch/dinner menus, which include items like French toast and dessert, as well as chicken tenders and grilled cheese. Customers can request a children’s meal by selecting the “Children’s Special Meals” option during the ticket booking process or by adding a request to an existing reservation using the United® mobile app.

Customers travelling in eligible cabins on select United flights will be able to pre-order kids’ meals beginning next year. With pre-order, our youngest passengers will be able to select the kids’ meal they want to enjoy onboard any United flight that is eligible for pre-order.

Aaron McMillan, managing director of hospitality and planning at United, said, “We’re committed to providing a great onboard experience for all of our customers, and we’re thrilled to be able to offer our youngest flyers new, kid-friendly food options on select routes.”

United’s kids’ meals, which come with kid-friendly breakfast and lunch/dinner options, are now available on flights longer than 2,000 miles, in cabins where complimentary meal service is offered.

For select domestic flights (including Hawaii) and international flights departing the U.S., the children’s menu includes French toast with sausage, fruit, and a croissant for breakfast, and chicken tenders with fruit, a dinner roll, and dessert for lunch and dinner. For international flights returning to the U.S., children will also have the option of ordering the French toast meal for breakfast but can order a grilled cheese sandwich with fruit, dinner roll and dessert for lunch and dinner.

In a major development for North American travelers, Air India has announced the deployment of its state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 aircraft on two key routes: Delhi to New York and Delhi to Newark.

The service on the Delhi-New York route will commence on November 1, 2024, while the Delhi-Newark route will see its inaugural flight on January 2, 2025.

The A350’s Business class will set new standards with 28 private suites, each equipped with full-flat beds, direct aisle access, and personal wardrobes. Economy class will be configured to accommodate 264 passengers in a 3-4-3 layout. Across all cabins, passengers will enjoy the latest Panasonic eX3 in-flight entertainment system, offering over 2,200 hours of content.

This strategic deployment marks a notable enhancement in Air India’s U.S. operations, with 60% of its flights to the U.S. now featuring new or upgraded cabin interiors. The air india new international routes currently operates 51 weekly flights to five U.S. destinations: New York JFK, Newark, Washington DC, Chicago, and San Francisco.
