United Airlines passenger’s disruptive behavior prompts plane to make U-turn
A United Airlines flight destined for Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport reportedly had to perform a U-turn three hours into the flight and return to Newark, New Jersey, after a man on board became unruly with crew members.
According to the flight-tracking website FlightRadar 24, United Airlines Flight 90, which took off from Newark early on Sunday morning, changed course around three hours into its trip and began to head back to the US.
An eyewitness, who spoke to the Israeli news outlet Ynet, claimed that the argument sprang from an Israeli man’s decision to sit in a crew member’s designated seat while he waited to use the bathroom.
A flight attendant and the customer who was seated then allegedly engaged in a shouting dispute, according to the eyewitness, who only wanted to be known as Sholomit. According to the witness, “crew members advised him that if he did not return to his seat, the plane would be turned around and returned to New York.” However, the man ridiculed the crew members, showing that he did not appear to trust them.
When the plane did turn around, she told YNet she was astonished because there had been no notification, adding, “We just noticed it on the map showing our flight path and when we landed, we saw the police waiting for the plane.”
Jeff Hunt, who was aboard the flight, posted a video to Twitter that appeared to show the passenger being escorted from the aircraft.

Air India Express Aircraft Engine Part Falls Outside Delhi Airport; DGCA Orders Probe
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has launched an inquiry following reports that metal fragments were discovered at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport after an Air India Express flight made an emergency landing on Monday evening.
The emergency landing was prompted by a detected engine fault, but fortunately, the landing was executed safely without any injuries to the passengers.
The situation began when crew members of the Air India Express flight reported an engine issue, leading to the emergency landing. The DGCA has confirmed that a thorough investigation is underway and has directed that the aircraft undergo a comprehensive safety inspection.

The discovery of metal debris outside the airport has raised concerns, prompting the DGCA to probe whether these fragments are linked to the aircraft involved in the emergency landing. Authorities are particularly focused on whether the metal pieces, which were found near the airport, originated from the same Air India Express flight that experienced engine trouble.
While preliminary assessments suggest that the debris could be a broken blade from an aircraft engine, the exact source remains unconfirmed. The airline has yet to verify if the metal fragments are from their aircraft.

The Delhi Police, working in conjunction with the DGCA, have initiated their own investigation to determine the origin of the metal pieces. A technical team is set to analyze whether the fragments are associated with the aircraft in question. As the investigation continues, a case has been filed with the airport authority to address the matter.
