Exculsively,Turkish Airlines is said to be planning to acquire roughly 30 Airbus A220 planes for regional flights.
As per the source Turkish Airlines is to purchase 30 Airbus A220 planes for regional operations, according to Turkish Aviation. The Airbus A220-300, which can carry up to 160 passengers and has a range of up to 5,920 kilometers, would be extremely beneficial to Turkish Airlines (3,678 miles). According to the source, it serves approximately 300 destinations in 126 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, making it one of the busiest airlines in the world..
Both the Embraer E-195 and the Airbus A220 are being sought by this airline. Embraer of Brazil designed and developed the E-195, which is a medium-range passenger airliner. It is the largest of the Embraer E-Jet family of aircraft.
The Airbus A220 is a family of five-abreast narrow-body aircraft partnership with Airbus Canada Limited. It was originally designed by Bombardier and served for two years as the Bombardier Series, but the operating costs and range of the Airbus aircraft were important to Turkish carriers, it was a simple transition to the A220.
However, the airline intends to rebrand as ‘Türkiye Havayollar’ and it currently does not fly the A220. but It does fly other Airbus aircraft such as the A320, A330, and A350.
