Singapore Airshow 2026 Highlights
The 10th edition of the Singapore Airshow has begun, with 35 static display aircraft, together with 8 flying display from various teams in the Asia-Pacific region.
The airshow is one of the world’s most influential and defense exhibitions, with trade days from the 3rd of February to the 6th of February. Public days will be on the 7th and 8th of February. Here are some highlights from the show:
Main Aircraft Orders Placed
Day 1: AirBorneo (formally known as MASwings), disclosed an order for 3 ATR 42-600s and 6 ATR 72-600s from Avions de Transport Regional (ATR), with the aircraft slated to be delivered between 2027 to 2029. This order was placed in 2025, and was labelled in the order books as ‘undisclosed’. AirBorneo currently operates a fleet of ATR 72-500 and DHC-6 Aircraft, both of which were inherited from MASwings.
Shanxi Victory General Aviation, a company specialising in emergency rescue, forest fire suppression and weather modification has placed an order or 6 C909 FFJ (Fire Fighting Jet) from the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC). The C909 FFJ is based on the C909 (previously known as ARJ21) airframe, and is specially modified for firefighting missions.
Air Cambodia, the flag carrier of Cambodia, disclosed an order of 10 Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft, with options for another 10. This order was placed in 2025, and was labelled in the order books as ‘undisclosed’. This adds Air Cambodia to a growing list of airlines operating the B737 MAX series of aircraft.
Uzbek Air Force was announced as the customer for an order for the C-390 Millenium aircraft, previously announced as ‘undisclosed’. This makes the Republic of Uzbekistan the first Central Asian nation to operate the aircraft. The C-390 aircraft would be used for both transport and humanitarian missions, significantly improving their capabilities.
Day 2: Tigerair Taiwan, a Low Cost Carrier, placed an order for 4 A321neo aircraft from Airbus, joining its fleet of 9 A320ceo and 8 A320neos. The A321neo aircraft enables Tigerair to offer 232 seats in a single layout, enabling the airline to increase capacity on their high-demand ‘golden routes’, together with accelerating network expansion.
There are no other aircraft orders placed during Day 3 and 4 of the Singapore Airshow
Air Display Segments
The airshow features 8 aerobatic teams, performing a mix of solo and team aerobatics. Most notably, the Indian Air Force Sarang Display Team, together with the People’s Liberation Army Air Force is participating in the flying display.
1 – Indian Air Force Sarang Display Team
Sarang is a helicopter aerobatic display team of the Indian Air Force, made up of 71 Personnel including 13 Pilots, 3 Engineering Officers, and 1 Commentator. Sarang flies the indigenously developed HAL Dhruv helicopters, painted in a special Peacock livery and boasts the distinction of being one of the few helicopter aerobatic display team.

2 – Royal Malaysia Air Force SU-30MKM ‘Toruk Makto’
First unveiled during the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition 2025 (LIMA 2025), the special livery ‘Toruk Makto’ SU-30MKM is inspired by the movie ‘Avatar’.

3 – Republic of Singapore Air Force Aerial Display Team
Consisting of an F-16C Fighting Falcon, together with an Apache AH-64D attack helicopter, these two aircraft, this display demonstrates the close coordination and precision of the pilots.

4 – Airbus A350-1000 Demonstrator Aircraft
Airbus is displaying their A350-1000 aircraft, an extended version of the popular Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The A350-1000 aircraft was selected by Qantas as part of Project Sunrise, which aims to establish non-stop, ultra long-haul flights between Sydney – London and Sydney – New York, which will be the longest passenger flight in the world.

5 – Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) C919
The C919 Aircraft is a 158-192 seat aircraft built by COMAC which started commercial operations in 2023 with China Eastern Airlines. COMAC is showcasing this aircraft in Singapore as they seek to challenge the Airbus-Boeing duopoly in the highly competitive narrowbody market.

6 – Indonesian Air Force Jupiter Team
Flying the KT-1B Aircraft, the Jupiter team is composed of flight instructors from the Indonesian Air Force, flying in coordinated team aerobatics.

7 – Royal Australian Air Force F35A
The F35A is an advanced 5th Generation fighter aircraft built by American aerospace company Lockheed Martin. This is the first time the Royal Australian Air Force has displayed its F35 aircraft at the Singapore Airshow

8 – People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) ‘Ba Yi’ Aerobatic Team
Flying the new J-10C aircraft for the first time at the Singapore Airshow, the PLAAF ‘Ba Yi’ (or August 1st) Aerobatic Team is the flagship flying demonstration unit of the PLAAF.
