As more approvals are received, the Doha-Kuwait-Doha route will be expanded to other countries, primarily in the GCC, using the Boeing 737-8s will increase capacity to support future growth, especially in short-haul markets. These effective and cutting-edge aircraft are a welcome addition to fleet of narrow-body vehicles as it continue to expand quickly and aims to become the top airline in the world. The remaining 7 Boeing 737-8 aircraft will be delivered to Qatar Airways by the end of July. The airline has now received its second 737-8.

With 25 of the Boeing 737-10 ordered at the Farnborough Airshow in 2022, Qatar Airways is a major Boeing 737-10 customer. Although there are differences in onboard amenities like the Oryx One Play Wireless Inflight Entertainment instead of the Individual IFE screens which will be available on the Boeing 737-10, the Boeing 737-10 and Boeing 737-8 have a number of operational synergies, particularly in pilot training and ground handling, which will deliver value to customers.

Although the Boeing 737-8 may fly on shorter routes, it is not anticipated that they will be flown completely by this aircraft; instead, a combination of the Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 may be used, depending on demand and available space.
