Passenger bus collides with American Airlines plane at LAX
According to firefighters, a passenger bus and a jet crashed at the Los Angeles International Airport on Friday, injuring four passengers.
The collision was reported just before 10 p.m. Friday at an unspecified area of the taxiway was reported. According to LAX officials, a passenger bus collided at a low speed with an American Airlines aircraft on a taxiway on the South Complex.
The Los Angeles Fire Department reports that the bus driver and two passengers were transferred in fair condition, the tug driver was taken to the hospital in moderate condition, and the worker who was the only passenger on the plane.
According to LAX officials, the shuttle bus and the jet collided while the plane was being towed from a gate to a taxiway.

The bus’ glass appeared to be damaged, and the plane’s tyre had left a significant skid mark. At LAX, there are no significant operational disruptions. Investigations continue to determine what caused the collision.
