The Dutch Ministry of Defense officially signed a contract today for the acquisition of nine Embraer C-390 Millennium aircraft during a ceremony at the Farnborough Airshow.
This contract is part of the “Replacement of Tactical Airlift Capacity” project and is a joint purchase in collaboration with Austria—five aircraft for the Royal Netherlands Air Force and four for the Austrian Air Force.
This joint acquisition aims to enhance the rapid deployment and evacuation capabilities of both countries, even in challenging operational conditions. The C-390 Millennium will significantly boost tactical airlift capacity, improving operational flexibility and responsiveness.
