Emirates, the largest operator of the Emirates A380, is pushing Airbus to develop a more fuel-efficient version of the aircraft, which many have dubbed the “A380neo.”

Sir Tim Clark, Emirates’ president, envisions a next-generation superjumbo that is 25% cheaper to operate and far more sustainable—bringing back the glory days of high-capacity, ultra-long-haul travel.
