IndiGo to Offer Business Class on 10 Routes for 2025
IndiGo, celebrating its 18th anniversary, has introduced premium business-class seating to enhance the travel experience for passengers seeking comfort and luxury.
With this move, indigo steps up its game to compete with major airlines like Air India, Air India Express, and Vistara, which currently lead India’s business-class market.
To further improve its services, IndiGo plans to expand its IndiGoStretch business-class offering to 10 new metro routes in 2025, aiming to cater to business and frequent travelers across the country.
IndiGoStretch Expands to More Routes
IndiGoStretch, known for its added comfort and convenience, has already proven successful on the Delhi (DEL) – Mumbai (BOM) route. Building on this success, IndiGo is set to roll out IndiGoStretch on more key routes, aiming to improve the travel experience on India’s busiest domestic routes.
Currently, IndiGoStretch operates on the following routes:
- Delhi (DEL) – Mumbai (BOM)
- Delhi (DEL) – Bengaluru (BLR)
By the end of 2024, IndiGo plans to introduce the service on:
- Delhi (DEL) – Chennai (MAA)
- Plus, seven more metro routes across India
By January 2025, all 20 daily flights between Delhi and Mumbai will feature IndiGoStretch, while 15 daily flights between Delhi and Bengaluru will offer the service by March 2025.
IndiGoStretch: Comfort and Convenience
IndiGoStretch business class brings several upgrades that set it apart from regular economy class. Passengers can enjoy:

Future Plans and Aircraft Upgrades
IndiGoStretch seats are currently available on Airbus A320 aircraft, with a 2-2 seating layout that includes 12 business-class seats per aircraft. Looking to the future, IndiGo plans to expand the service to its upcoming Airbus A350 aircraft, expected to join the fleet by 2027.
Additionally, IndiGo may also feature business-class seating on leased Boeing 777 aircraft to further enhance its premium offerings.
International Expansion with Turkish Airlines
IndiGo’s growth isn’t limited to domestic routes. The indigo has also expanded its international network through a codeshare agreement with Turkish Airlines.
Flight indigo 6e 4234, connecting Istanbul to New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK), is operated by both airlines using Boeing 777 and 787 aircraft. This partnership opens up more options for business travelers flying internationally.
