India-Pakistan Tensions Escalate Amid Military Buildup and Global Reactions

Following the April 22nd attack in Kashmir, tensions between India and Pakistan have sharply increased. India has taken a more aggressive stance, preparing its military forces and conducting fighter jet exercises on civilian airfields and highways.

With advanced aircraft like Rafale, Su-30MKI, Tejas, and Mirage-2000, India holds significant air superiority, equipped with radar jamming systems and UAV surveillance, including U.S.-made Predator drones. It has also advised international airlines to avoid Pakistani airspace.

India’s military preparedness is matched by strong international support, including backing from the U.S., Israel, European nations, and Russia. As one of the world’s largest military powers, India is using this moment to reinforce its strategic dominance in the region.

Pakistan, meanwhile, is also mobilizing. It recently added Chinese J-10C fighters and continues to operate F-16s from the U.S. It is armed with modern Chinese missiles like the PL-15 and PL-12.

However, Pakistan faces challenges due to its aging mixed fleet, economic crisis, and internal unrest in regions like Balochistan. Turkey and China have offered support, with Turkey sending military equipment and China playing a key strategic role.

While Azerbaijan supports Pakistan, Gulf countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE have remained neutral. Bangladesh has openly sided with Pakistan. Concerns remain that Pakistan’s debt dependency—especially on China—may lead to long-term geopolitical consequences if the conflict escalates.

Both nations continue to hold critical meetings, and the next few days will determine whether the crisis moves toward war or diplomacy.
