Dubai Airport will be a bustling hub for travelers from all over the world, and it is critical to stay up to date on the latest Dubai airport baggage rules 2023. To guarantee a smooth and hassle-free flight. Understanding the baggage requirements at Dubai Airport is critical for all passengers, given the ever-changing landscape of travel regulations and security procedures.
In this article, we will look at the most recent baggage laws at Dubai Airport, including both checked and carry-on bags, as well as key advice to help you prepare for a stress-free travel experience.
Packing correctly can save you time (and money) at the airport. Here are the basic rules to follow, plus some further tips.
New luggage restrictions have been implemented to help improve baggage services for all travelers at DXB. Bags must have at least one flat surface. If you wish to bring liquids, aerosols, or gels in your hand luggage, here’s what you need to know:
- Items should be packed in one clear, re-sealable plastic bag within your hand luggage.
- Each liquid item cannot be larger than 100ml, and the total cannot exceed one litre.
- Exemptions will be granted for medication, infant milk/food, and particular dietary requirements to be utilized during your vacation.
- For foreign travel, two pieces of luggage are usually permitted, with a total weight of no more than 32kg. This may differ depending on the airline and fare type. Before you fly, double-check with your airline.
- Check-in is required at the oversized baggage counter for bags that are more than 90 cm long, 75 cm high, and 60 cm wide, or that do not have a single flat surface.
- For the check-in of oversized baggage, please allow extra time. It’s necessary to repack extra luggage. Usually, excess baggage costs are charged.
General tips
- Pack personal belongings in your hand luggage.
- Keep a laptop where it can be easily reached: you’ll need to place it in a separate security tray at the security scan.
- Always remove old baggage tags. They may cause the baggage system to reject the bag they’re attached to.
- Avoid using cardboard boxes. They need to be processed manually, which takes longer. And they’re not as durable. Don’t forget travel insurance.
