Airbus Secures First Order for A350F and A320neo from AviLease

Paris, France – 16 June 2025
The Paris Airshow 2025 kicked off today in France, and Airbus secured its first major order from Saudi Arabia-based leasing firm AviLease.

AviLease has placed an initial order for 10 Airbus A350F freighters and 30 A320neo Family aircraft. The agreement also includes an option to expand the order to 22 A350Fs and 55 A320neos in the future.

AviLease CEO Edward O’Byrne said the deal strengthens their role as a global aircraft lessor and allows them to provide modern, fuel-efficient aircraft to airline partners in Saudi Arabia and around the world.

Airbus executive Benoît de Saint-Exupéry welcomed AviLease as a new customer and highlighted the strong demand for the A350F and A320neo, praising their fuel efficiency, range, and popularity in the leasing market.

The A350F features the largest main cargo door in the industry, is 46 tonnes lighter than its competitors, and meets the 2027 ICAO CO₂ emissions standards. The A320neo offers 20% fuel savings thanks to new engines and aerodynamic enhancements.
