AirAsia X (AAX) resumed service to Tokyo (Haneda)
Today, AirAsia X (AAX) resumed service to Tokyo (Haneda) after the nation’s border was fully reopened to international travel. The thrice-weekly flights will be the airline’s first flight to Japan post-pandemic, ahead of its second route launch to Sapporo (Shin-Chitose) in December.

A send-off ceremony with games and giveaways for the guests was held by AAX at Kuala Lumpur International Airport to commemorate the service’s return.
“The restart of services to Tokyo signifies our commitment to accelerating our growth as a mid-range airline,” said AirAsia X CEO. There are numerous routes to Japan that will go into service after this one, including ones to Sapporo (Shin-Chitose) in December and Osaka the next year. In addition to the fact that our Malaysian visitors adore Japan, we also offer extensive fly-through connectivity to this country from other countries, such as Australia, via Kuala Lumpur.
