Air India Adds A350 to Delhi-Newark Route, Bringing Luxury to New York Flights
Air India has taken another significant step in its transformation journey by introducing its flagship Airbus A350-900 aircraft on non-stop flights between Delhi and Newark’s Liberty International Airport (EWR).
This move, implemented on January 3, 2025, follows the airline’s recent launch of air india new routes 2025 services on the Delhi-New York (JFK) route on November 1, 2024.
With the addition of the A350 on this route, air india now operates its most advanced aircraft on all non-stop flights connecting Delhi with the New York region.

The A350 offers passengers an upgraded travel experience, including private suites in Business Class, a dedicated Premium Economy cabin, and an advanced Inflight Entertainment (IFE) system with an expanded content library. Passengers can also enjoy enhanced catering services and newly designed serviceware that add to the overall comfort and luxury.
To celebrate this milestone, Air India’s cabin crew explored New York City in their newly designed uniforms by renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra.
The crew recreated memorable scenes from iconic Hollywood and Bollywood movies, capturing the excitement and pride of bringing the ‘new Air India experience’ to New York.

Adding a historical touch, the crew also paid tribute to the famous 1932 photograph ‘Lunch Atop a Skyscraper,’ which features ironworkers casually dining on a steel beam during the construction of Rockefeller Plaza.
In a creative twist, air india flight team recreated this iconic image atop Rockefeller Plaza, embodying the spirit of adventure and progress.
Passengers on the Delhi-Newark route can now look forward to a premium travel experience, with state-of-the-art amenities and unparalleled comfort aboard the A350.
