Embraer and CAE strengthen ties to expand global E-Jet E2 training network
The long-standing collaborative venture between Embraer and CAE will now cover pilot and cabin crew training for the Embraer E-Jet E2 series of commercial aircraft, according to an announcement made at the 2023 Asia Pacific Airline Training Symposium (APATS).

At the Singapore-CAE Flight Training Centre, where training is set to start in December 2023, Embraer-CAE Training Services will introduce a new pilot training programme and set up a cutting-edge E-Jet E2 full-flight simulator (FFS). Programmes for training E2 pilots and cabin crew will be gradually expanded to key locations across CAE’s global network to support aircraft deliveries.
Due to the expanding E-Jets E2 fleet in the Asia Pacific region, Singapore has been selected as the first location. Embraer’s value offering in the APAC area is improved with the implementation of the full flight simulator and pilot training programme.
The Embraer Services & Support platform’s key offering is the training solutions provided by ECTS. In order to provide the finest services and support experience, the platform brings together the full portfolio of products and solutions.
It also uses the after-sales business to increase its presence and improve assistance on a daily basis, providing consumers with additional value. The CAE 7000XR Series full-flight simulators (FFSs), which include the ground-breaking CAE TroposTM 6000XR visual system, as well as the CAE XR Series’ flight training devices (FTDs), will be used in the E2 training programme.

Starting in the summer of 2025, Air France is teaming up with Starlink to offer ultra-fast Wi-Fi on all its flights. The service promises a “ground-like” internet experience and will be available free of charge for passengers in all cabin classes. To access the Wi-Fi, passengers can log in using their Flying Blue loyalty program accounts. - 2.Hawaiian Airlines
Hawaiian Airlines made history as the first U.S. airline to partner with Starlink back in 2022. By September 2024, the airline successfully installed the high-speed Wi-Fi on all of its Airbus aircraft.
