Snake found in Air India Express plane, DGCA orders probe

On Saturday, a snake was discovered on board an Air India Express flight headed for Dubai. When the Air India Express Boeing B-737 flight from Calicut to Dubai touched down at the airport in Dubai, the staff reported seeing a snake inside the aircraft.

“Flight IX-343 was operated by an Air India Express B737-800, registration VT-AXW (Calicut-Dubai). On arrival in Dubai, a snake was discovered in the cargo hold “According to a Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) officer. Passengers were safely deplaned, and the aircraft was appropriately fumigated before the next operation.

The aviation regulating agency, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), has requested a thorough investigation into the incident.

“DGCA authorities are investigating the snake incident on the Air India Express plane,” the aviation agency said.
