Ryanair announces summer 2023 schedule from Edinburgh
The top airline in the UK, Ryanair, has unveiled its updated schedule for Edinburgh for the summer of 23. It features 69 routes, including 6 new routes to Belfast, Bournemouth, Cornwall, London Stansted, Rhodes, and Venice, as well as more frequent service on over 30 of the airline’s most well-traveled routes through Edinburgh. Ryanair will base one new aircraft in Edinburgh (out of a total of 11) for the summer of 23 under this record schedule, representing an additional $100 million in investment and creating over 30 new highly-paid jobs for pilots and cabin crew.

In order to increase both inbound tourism and employment, Ryanair will provide its Edinburgh residents and tourists with the most options and the lowest fares in Europe this summer (+25% growth vs S22). With 11 stationed aircraft, Ryanair’s $1.1 billion investment in Edinburgh Airport serves as the foundation for this unparalleled expansion.
Although Ryanair welcomes the UK Govt’s 50% APD cut for domestic travel from Apr’23, this reduction ignores international connectivity which is fundamental for the growth of the UK’s economy and tourism. Ryanair calls on the UK Govt to fully abolish APD immediately for all travel, which would not only promote tourism but support much needed connectivity to the UK, an island-based economy.
To celebrate this record-breaking Edinburgh schedule for Summer ‘23, Ryanair is launching a limited-time seat sale with fares from just £29.99 for travel between Apr’23 and Oct’23, which must be booked by midnight 10 Feb on www.ryanair.com.
