Rostec’s “Russian Helicopters” holding has officially begun flight tests of the Mi-34M1, a modern light single-engine multipurpose helicopter designed entirely around Russian-made technologies. The maiden flight marks an important milestone in restoring a segment long dominated by foreign light helicopters.

Mi-34M1 Enters Flight Testing Phase

The Mi-34M1 completed its first test flight lasting around ten minutes, during which engineers evaluated the helicopter’s stability, controllability, and structural loads. The aircraft performed standard horizontal flight maneuvers and turns, allowing specialists to assess how key systems behave under real aerodynamic stress.
