New Wings for India! Meet the 3 New Airlines Launching in 2025
India’s aviation sector is set for a major transformation in 2025 with the launch of Air Kerala, Shankh Air, and Alhind Air, enhancing connectivity
India’s aviation sector is booming, with rapid expansion across domestic and international markets. Despite having 12 operational passenger airlines, the market remains largely concentrated, with just two carriers handling over 90% of passenger traffic.
However, this imbalance is set to change in 2025 as three new airlines—Air Kerala, Shankh Air, and Alhind Air—prepare to take flight.
These airlines will not only increase competition but also improve regional connectivity and affordability, making air travel more accessible than ever.
Backed by strong financial support and strategic planning, these carriers aim to reshape India’s aviation landscape. Let’s take a closer look at their plans and what they bring to the table.

Shankh Air is set to become Uttar Pradesh’s first full-service airline, operating from the upcoming Noida Jewar International Airport. With a strong financial foundation, the airline aims to connect major cities within UP and key metro destinations across India before expanding to international routes by 2027.
