The flydubai Ab Initio Pilot Training Programme follows the Multi-Pilot License (MPL) pathway. It is designed to train individuals from zero flight experience to becoming fully qualified commercial pilots.

- Advanced flight simulator training
- Real-world flight instruction
- Line training with flydubai’s operational teams
- Final qualification as a Boeing 737 pilot
All training will eventually culminate at the flydubai Flight Training Centre, where cadets will integrate into the airline’s flight operations.
Eligibility and Selection Process
This programme is open to candidates who are:
- 17 years or older
- High school graduates
- Medically fit as per aviation standards
Candidates will undergo a rigorous selection process, including:
- Online assessments
- On-site aptitude and cognitive testing
- Psychomotor evaluations
- Full medical clearance
Only the most promising applicants will be selected to begin training.
First Batch Begins in Late 2025
The inaugural batch of cadets is expected to commence training in the last quarter of 2025. The programme represents a significant step in flydubai’s commitment to nurturing local and regional talent and preparing for the future of air travel.
