Emirates Flight Academy Trains 85 Future Aviators in 2024

Courage, commitment, and passion shone brightly at the Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) as it celebrated its fifth graduation ceremony, marking the academy’s largest batch of graduates yet.

The event also unveiled EFTA’s new Advanced Diploma in Pilot Licensing Training (Aeroplane), a milestone made possible by the academy’s accreditation as an Accredited Training Provider (ATP) by the UAE National Qualifications Centre (NQC).

The ceremony was led by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline & Group, alongside senior leadership, graduates, emirates pilot benefits for their families, and the academy’s faculty.

After months of rigorous training both on the ground and in the skies, 85 cadets, including 67 UAE Nationals and 18 international trainees, are now ready to take on the challenges of aviation. Since its launch, EFTA has transformed 271 school leavers into world-class pilots.

EFTA also recognized outstanding cadets for their exceptional performance. Humaid Al Hammadi, Abdulla Raeisi, Alessandro Muffolini, and Sarah Shah received special awards, while Abdulla Alkaabi was honored for his diligence.

The new diploma program, consisting of 94 credit hours, will enable cadets to pursue Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in the future, further enhancing their career prospects. Each cadet in the class of 2024 completed approximately 113 weeks of training, including over 1,100 hours of ground instruction and 270 hours of flight training.

Based in Dubai South, emirates pilots combines state-of-the-art learning technologies with a fleet of 32 modern training aircraft to provide comprehensive pilot training.

This year also marks a significant step in EFTA’s international journey. The academy is on track to receive European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) accreditation by early 2025. Once achieved, EFTA graduates will hold both a GCAA and an EASA license, opening up unparalleled career opportunities worldwide.
